A: Hi John,
Like you noticed in the picture, there is a small cut-out in the heel. The whole heel is not flat on the ground. Please let me know if you have any more quesitons.
Thanks,

A: Hi Francisco - we can definitely get you a size 8; we just had the sizes on our initial order available before the others had come in. Give us a call at 1-888-501-1333 and we'll answer any questions we can and put through the order if you'd like. - Thanks, Nathan

Nathan 1 Review ProfileWhen I heard that New Balance had a $300 pair of sneakers, natch, I had to have em. I was pretty stoked when I got em, and compared them to my fave pair (the 990s), and I gotta say, for the money, I like the 990s better. The graphite plate in the midfoot seems just too high up for me, making them a bit too stiff for my liking. I mean I understand stability in the rearfoot, but I don't really get the idea of the plate there. It makes the shoes feel a bit like the 1012 runners that have the medial post in them; just kinda stuff under the midfoot. Overall fit is still pretty good though; better than any other brand I've had, just not what I figured they'd be out of a pair of $300 NBs. Overall, I gotta say, I really like the look of the 990s (particularly in black, so I'm gonna stick with them as my go-tos.Customer Service Comments:
Can't complain about the Langley store; always has been really awesome service for me. I don't go anywhere else for shoes.Fits NarrowFits WidePros

Q: Does the heel have one of those wedge cut-out things or is it straight across? a rear view of the heel on the amazon.com site looks like they have a wedge cut on the outer heel where your foot would first strike the ground
